Cooking Out

We had a fun evening on Friday in the canyon cooking up some tinfoil dinners and s'mores. Then we came home to camp in our backyard since the campground was full.

The kids found walking sticks that we took a couple little "hikes" with until Cooper started freaking out that there might be snakes.

There is a near identical picture of my little sister, Hannah, like this that we call "Squirrel on a rock"

This is Camden sucking on a sucker that is covered in dirt and soot. I tried keeping it clean but it clearly did not work! He love the dirt and thought that the fire was great.

More Summer Fun!

On Pioneer Day we went to Willow Park Zoo. The kids love it there.

Camden was enthralled by the monkeys and swans

Trying to stay cool in the shade.

We went to the Bear River Bird Refuge Museum one morning with our friends, the Packers. Grace and Anna love birds and the kids thought it was really great.

Grandpa Dan (Troy's dad) was in SLC for business so we went with him to the Hill AFB museum since that is where he used to be stationed and he could tell us all about it

Finding shade under the plane.

Our Vacation

Here we all are on the ferry from Bainbridge Island to Seattle!

We've been back a week but I'm just getting around to posting. We had a wonderful time after we actually got to Seattle. 14 hours in the car with 3 kids isn't my cup of tea, especially trying to catch throw up because Brooklyn gets carsick. Once we were there we never sat still. The kids had so much fun with cousins and got spoiled by grandma and grandpa. We miss you all!

We drove through the night, caught a couple hours of sleep then headed to the waterfront with Troy's sis and kids to eat doughnuts and scones from the best little Norwegian bakery. Yum!
Liberty Bay
Then we went to Chuck E. Cheese for Camden's party. The kids (and Troy) had a blast!

At Pike's Place Market! One of my favorite places ever.

"Flying Fish" market When they get a sell, the guys throw the fish through the air to have packaged up. A must see

On the monorail

At a pool/fountain with the Space Needle as the back drop

Camden and his watermelon. That's all he would eat if he saw it and we had it a lot.
Troy and the kids with Troy's great-grandma. She is an amazing woman.
Camping

At the zoo/aquarium

Touching a starfish

Checking out the sea life
My best friend, Emily (used to be Baird), lives in the Tacoma area now and we got to meet her for dinner and see her two kids too!
Getting ready for the fireworks which were on the 3rd of July. Cooper was undone that we couldn't hear the music from how far we were, so he sang patriotic songs at the top of his lungs to the fireworks.
At Troy's grandma's lake watching the ducks
In the canoe with Granpa Dan!
Camden in his 4th of July outfit chewing some watermelon.
We all came back exhausted but happy!
